‘Metamorphosing defence logistics in India’


The Indian Aerospace and Defence (A&D) sector has been a focus market for many Indian and global companies for investment opportunities. The recently- held Defence Expo in Chennai was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who spoke of pursuing the goal of achieving a turnover of `1,70,000 crore in military goods and services by 2025. TVS Logistics Services, part of the $7 Bn TVS Group, too participated at this event. TVS Logistics (through its UK Subsidiary TVS SCS) has a 13- year contract worth $6 billion with the UK Ministry of Defence. TVS offers best practices to the Indian Armed Forces through their proprietary IT platform, Msys, ability in handling defence supply chains to reduce the cost of inventory ownership by simplifying sourcing, procurement, delivery and management of defence commodities and spare parts.
